Each row is a framing that begins at t; “arrive by” is the transition INTO it from the previous framing. cut to = splice at t. pan to = travel across the whole gap since the previous key, on the curve (linear = constant speed; ease = fluid-head ramp; ease-out = whip then settle; ease-in = creep then commit; hand = the operator’s cushioned move: a breath of anticipation, commit, feather in past the mark and settle). The strip under the scrubber draws it: steps are cuts, slopes are pans — drag a dot to retime (left/right) or reframe (up/down) a key, double-click to add one, and during playback the governing key lights up in the table. Click a dot to select it (green ring; the green span is the segment its arrive-by governs); right-click to insert a keyframe at the exact midpoint before/after it (placed ON the current curve, so the ride is unchanged until you drag), remove it, or switch how it arrives. To direct the motion: the title’s ride IS the camera’s pan — there are no position keys. Scrub to the beat where it should finish arriving and press DOCK HERE (or drag the magenta ▲ along the strip’s foot): the anchor is solved so the latch lands on that moment, and the drop-in is whatever camera move leads into it (a pan reads as the drop; a cut pops it in). The status line under the sliders always says what the title is doing. The lockup’s position is a pure function of the camera: it is anchored in film space (drag the dashed magenta box on the negative — the Anchor) until the camera’s pan carries it down to its Dock (the dashed line in the preview, a viewport %). From that first touch it is viewport-locked and never moves again — drop in, stay put. Scrub-safe: the latch moment is computed from the whole camera track (the magenta ▲ under the strip marks it). Only opacity is keyframed: set the slider, MARK OPACITY; in the strip the solid magenta line is the DERIVED title position (watch it drop and flatten), dotted = your opacity keys (foot 0 → head 100).
